The Haven of Grace
Shelter, transitional housing and support for pregnant and homeless young mothers and their children — and five straight years of partnership.

The Haven of Grace serves pregnant and homeless young women and their children in St. Louis, providing safe housing, compassionate care and the life-skills programming that helps a young mother build a stable future for her family.
How We Help
This is one of our closest partnerships, and one of our most hands-on. The LIGHT Foundation is represented on the Haven’s board, and we have produced its MOMentous Luncheon every year since 2022 — designing every printed piece, soliciting sponsors and auction items, coordinating décor, entertainment and speakers, and providing A/V and technical support on the day. Our own Sabrina Cockerham has served as Co-Chair. In 2024 the luncheon drew more than 420 guests, the largest in its history.
The work reaches well past one afternoon in May. We have produced trivia nights, built the two-minute Project Lift campaign film whose appeal funded a vehicle, helped organize a 24-hour online fundraising campaign, and helped launch Guardians of Grace, a giving program designed so the Haven does not begin every year back at zero.

Built Alongside, Not Merely For
Lasting change is built with people rather than delivered to them. The Haven has taught us that better than anyone.
